# Sales Pacing Report

The **Sales Pacing** report shows *when* your audience buys: how many days before showtime tickets sell, how much lands in the final week, and — if you use pay-what-you-want pricing — what patrons actually choose to pay. It's the report for timing announcements, reminder emails, and price experiments.

This report uses the full filter set — date range, purchase-vs-event date, channels, and events (see [Getting Started with Reports](https://docs.crowdwork.com/for-theatres/reports-and-analytics)). It counts paid admissions.

## The Headline: Median Lead Time

**Median Lead Time** is the typical gap between purchase and showtime — half your admissions sold earlier, half later. Alongside it: the **Average Lead**, the share **Sold in Final Week**, and how many events are in scope. Median and average telling different stories is itself informative: a low median with a high average means a core of early birds is stretching the tail.

## Run-Up to Showtime

The pacing curve buckets admissions by how far out they sold, from the earliest sales down to day-of, with each bucket's count and gross revenue. If most of your revenue arrives in the last few days, that's your cue for earlier marketing pushes — or confidence that late walk-up demand is dependable.

{% hint style="info" %}
Admissions logged *after* the showtime — walk-ups entered late, manual entries — count as day-of.
{% endhint %}

***

## Lead Time by Channel

Average lead time split by sales channel. Expect POS sales to cluster at day-of (walk-ups) while online buyers commit earlier — a big gap here tells you which audience your early marketing is actually reaching.

## Pay-What-You-Want Pricing

When the range includes pay-what-you-want admissions, this section shows what that pricing really did:

* **PWYW Revenue** and the number of admissions it came from.
* **Avg Paid vs. suggested** — what patrons paid on average, next to your suggested price, and the paid-to-suggested percentage.
* **Share of Sales** — how much of your paid volume is pay-what-you-want.
* **Above / at / below** — how many patrons paid more than, exactly, or less than the suggested price, with the fixed-price average for comparison.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Reading it:** lots of patrons paying above suggested is a signal the suggestion is low; most paying below may still be a win if it filled seats that would have gone empty. Compare against the fixed-price average before adjusting.
{% endhint %}

**View Line Items** opens the admissions behind the report. **Export to CSV** downloads them — the report's totals reconcile to the file.
