πŸ”„Managing Exchanges

This page explains how to move customers and students between different shows, classes, or dates.

Whether you need to switch a ticket from one show to another, move students to different classes, or shift registrations to new dates, the process is the same. This guide will help you handle common customer requests like trading tickets, transferring between classes, rescheduling, or updating session dates. While the terminology may vary (switching, moving, trading, transferring, or exchanging), the steps remain consistent for both show tickets and class registrations.

What You Can Change

When editing admissions, you have the following options:

Option
Description

Event

Move the ticket/registration to a completely different show or class

Date

Change which occurrence (date/time) the patron will attend

Tier

Switch to a different ticket tier (e.g., General to VIP)

Status

Set to Paid/Active (default) or Standby

What is Standby? Standby keeps the admission on file but doesn't count toward tier quantities or capacity caps. This is useful when a patron can't attend but you're not ready to issue a refund. See Managing Admissions for more details.

Additional Options

  • Send updated confirmation emails β€” Check this box if you want the patron to receive an automatic notification with their updated ticket details

  • QR codes β€” Editing admissions may render old QR codes obsolete. New ones will be generated automatically.
