Whether you need to switch a ticket from one show to another, move students to different classes, or shift registrations to new dates, the process is the same. This guide will help you handle common customer requests like trading tickets, transferring between classes, rescheduling, or updating session dates. While the terminology may vary (switching, moving, trading, transferring, or exchanging), the steps remain consistent for both show tickets and class registrations.
Find the Person First. The quickest path for any exchange is: Find the customer/student → Edit their profile → Click the ✏️ on the right of the ticket/registration you want to change.
From the Dashboard menu select either Tickets or Customers
In the popup, select the new ticket details.
From the Dashboard menu select either Registrations or Students
In the popup, select the new registration details
Exchanges must be for the same type (ticket for ticket, registration for registration)
Consider setting up a clear exchange policy and timeframe for your venue
Changing show tickets or class registrations does not change the payment. Refunds or additional charges must be handled separately.
Select the name of the person on the: Tickets or Customers screen (for Shows); or Registrations or Students screen (for Classes)
In the modal, select the new event details (and don't forget to click save!)

Click the name of the ticket holder, then the blue Edit Customer button.
Find the event & click the pencil icon on the far right.
Click the name of the student, then the blue Edit Student button.
Find the event & click the pencil icon on the far right.
On their profile, click the blue button: Edit Student; or Edit Customer
On the edit screen, find the registration or ticket and click the pencil icon to the right
